Online Purchases - Simplified

Online Purchases:

Collection address is 3 Cheap Street Newbury, RG14 5DD, next to Newbury Train Station. Please wait for our email before coming in store to collect.

All goods will aim to be dispatched within 2 - 3 working days after receiving full payment, (Monday-Friday, excluding bank holidays).

Pageant Party will not be responsible for items that are lost by the delivery company.

Bulk orders cannot be made on our website. It is best to phone us or send us an email, as we are likely to have to order the items in from our supplier, depending on the quantity that is required.

Cancellations:

An order can be cancelled with ease if the item has not yet been dispatched (usually within 1 – 3 working days from purchase) Please contact us as soon as possible and we can issue a full refund. If the item has already been dispatched, the postage cost will still be charged. We will issue the remaining refund once the item has been returned and received by us. 

Refunds:

Online, mail and telephone order customers have the right to cancel their order for a limited time even if the goods are not faulty. The Business must offer a refund to customers if they’ve told you within 14 days of receiving their goods that they want to cancel. They have another 14 days to return the undamaged goods once they’ve told you.

We cannot accept returned underwear, tights or wigs for hygiene reasons.

The customer is responsible for the cost of the return postage.

In Store Purchases:

In addition to your legal rights, we also allow you to return goods for an exchange or credit note, if you purchased the incorrect size or simply change your mind. Please return the unused goods, featuring all original tags and packaging, to us with the till receipt within 14 days. Unopened goods may be refunded in full if they are returned on the same day of purchase.

Your legal rights: When you buy goods from a business, in law you have a number of rights as a consumer. These include the right to claim a refund, replacement, repair and/or compensation where the goods are faulty or mis-described.

A business does not have to refund a customer if they:

  • knew an item was faulty when they bought it
  • damaged an item by trying to repair it themselves or getting someone else to do it (though they may still have the right to a repair, replacement or partial refund)
  • no longer want an item (for example because it’s the wrong size or colour) unless they bought it without seeing it

 

 

Balloon Orders - Simplified

Pre Ordered Balloons

Your order is confirmed once a booking deposit (or full balance where necessary), has been received. This means you have agreed to the terms and conditions.

Bookings must be secured with a 20% non-refundable deposit at time of booking to secure the order. The deposit amount will be deducted from your final balance which will be due no later than one week prior to your event date.

Failure to do so could result in the loss of your deposit & cancellation of your booking without notice. Your deposit will not be refunded under any circumstances. It is the responsibility of the customer to pay on time. Bookings made less than one week before the date of use require full settlement immediately.

Any changes to your order should be relayed to us as soon as possible. Please be aware that short notice amendments are subject to stock availability. Changes cannot be made to orders that have already been prepared, usually 2-3 days before your order date.

For Balloon services, we will charge the following fees should a cancellation occur:

  • Within 7 days of the event date. The full contracted fee.
  • Within 14 days of the event date 50% of the full contracted fee.
  • No cancellation fee payable if you cancel more than 2 weeks prior to the event.

The deposit will not be refunded under any circumstances and does not eliminate the full cancellation fee being charged.

In the unlikely event that WE have to cancel a booking due to reasons beyond our control, we will do so in writing or by email providing you with as much notice as possible, returning any deposits paid and where possible recommend another reputable company.

Equipment Hire

  • Any equipment hired from us, for the duration of your event must be returned (or collected by us) in the original undamaged state, by the agreed date at time of booking.
  • At all times, the named person on the order form is responsible for any damages or loss caused by guests, venue staff or themselves.
  • No equipment is to be left outside in wet or windy weather, or left outside of locked and gated premises, when there is no one left in the venue building.
  • If the Equipment is returned to us in bad repair, damaged, unclean or defective in any way then we are entitled to retain any security deposit which may have been paid by you to repair and/or replace the Equipment. You are liable for any costs that we may incur in repairing, cleaning or replacing the Equipment.
  • In the event that any item of Equipment is lost, stolen or damaged beyond economical repair you are liable to pay us the cost of the replacement items as new. You will not be entitled to a refund of the security deposit in these circumstances.

The Security Deposit is the retention of valid debit or credit card details. The details will be returned to you or destroyed upon receipt of the undamaged hire equipment.

Balloon Collections

  • Once your balloons have been collected from our premises, we are no longer responsible for damages, bursts or loss of any kind. Should balloons be damaged after this time, no refund will be given.
  • You must arrive on time for your collection. Your balloons may not be ready if you arrive earlier than your designated time. We will not complete your order on the spot, if we have other scheduled orders to complete before yours at the time of your arrival.
  • If you are unable to make your selected time, you must inform us as soon as possible, at least 2 hours in advance, and we can offer you the next available time slot.
  • We will not stay later than our closing time for you to collect your order and you will not be refunded. In some circumstances, our staff might be able to stay late for you, but this will incur an out of hours fee, and is completely at our discretion.

Delivery

  • The Goods or Equipment will be delivered by us to you on the agreed date, time and at the event location as stated on your order. You must ensure that at the time of agreed delivery, including labour and access where necessary, are in place.
  • We cannot be held liable for any damage, cost or expense incurred to the Goods, Equipment or premises where this arises as a result of a failure to provide adequate access or arrangements for delivery. We will wait no longer than 15 minutes at your venue or location, if no one is there to accept the balloons. No refund will be given, and we will charge a second delivery fee if we have to return to the venue for a second attempt.
  • Once our delivery driver has left your venue, we are no longer responsible for damages, bursts or loss of any kind. Should balloons be damaged after this time, no refund will be given.
  • If venue staff has moved balloons and damage occurs, we are not liable, responsibility stays with the named customer on your order form. It is entirely up to the customer to seek any recompense direct with their venue contact or any third parties that may have been in contact with your goods.

Out of Hours

In some circumstances we can offer collection or delivery of balloons outside of our regular operating hours. This will incur a fee and is subject to staff availability.

  • If required within an hour before or after regular opening hours. £10.00*
  • Sundays, late evenings or any day we are usually closed. £15* per hour, per person required.

Safety Warning

Latex Balloons are not considered safe for children under 36 months old. Young children could choke or suffocate on un-inflated or burst balloons. Responsible adult supervision is highly advised at all times for children less than 8 years of age. We are not liable for any injury caused from improper use of our goods.
